On September 22, 2022, in Kaunas, at the training center of the Lithuanian Football Federation, a sports celebration of the international Norway Grant project “Inclusion through sports for children with developmental disabilities” was held with FC “Hegelmann” footballers. Football players met the children with applause, conducted a cheerful warm-up and, together with the children, continued to perform exercises for the formation of football skills at 8 different stops.
Teaching children the performance of the correct elements of football, football players paid great attention to the formation of children’s good emotions and proper behavior. At the end of the celebration, all participants were awarded medals, gifts from football players.
The celebration was attended by 92 children participating in the project (80 with ID, 12- without ID) from 7 organizations in five Lithuanian cities. There were also 18 educators, 6 parents, 6 volunteers, 25 football players and a team of coaches.
