Family Health Forums for children with developmental disabilities and their families, in Slovakia

On 19th January, Special Olympics Slovakia has organized a Family Health Forum for organization Viva la Vida during their first MATP training. The event was organized in the city of Zvolen, the central region of Slovakia.

   

At the Family Health Forum, participated 7 athletes with ID, age 6 to 10, and 16 family members and caregivers and unified partner.

Through Family Health Forums, the project offers an environment where parents and caregivers can gain direct access to health information, resources, and support.

     

The project “Inclusion through sport for children with developmental disabilities” is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation.

The project is implemented by Motivation Romania Foundation in partnership with Special Olympics Romania, Special Olympics Iceland, Special Olympics Slovakia, Special Olympics Lithuania, Special Olympics Bosnia and Herzegovina, Special Olympics Montenegro, Special Olympics Europe Eurasia Foundation and the University of Physical Education in Poznan.
