The Special Olympics in BiH ended the cycle of organized sports activities in Tuzla and Sarajevo

With the manifestation Festival of Sports in Tuzla, the Special Olympics in BiH ended the cycle of organized sports activities in Tuzla and Sarajevo on the occasion of marking the European Football Week and the European Week of Sport, in which more than 150 participants participated. Participants were primary school children who train athletics and football,  members of associations working with people with disabilities, and a team of migrants from the association Center for Community Services Tuzla “PUŽ”.

In addition to the athletic program, an inclusive football tournament was held which is also supported by the Football Association of BiH.

The awards for the best teams were presented by the representative of the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Return of Tuzla Canton, Mrs Suada Selimović.

The project „Inclusion Through Sport for Children with Developmental Disabilities” is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation. The project is managed by Motivation Romania Foundation in partnership with Special Olympics Romania, SO Iceland, SO Slovakia, SO Lithuania, SO Bosnia and Herzegovina, SO Montenegro, with support from Europe Eurasia Foundation and Poznan University of Physical Education.
